    Home button doesn't Zero DRO's

    Hi
Had my machine working perfectly on an old PC with XP. Upgraded to a new PC but kept XP and have a parallel port on motherboard. Cloned the system across, everything seemed to running fine.

Jogging seemed at a different speed, a bit faster, I put that down to different output on port. I have tuned the motors again.

But, I have noticed that when I press the home button, the machine homes to the homing switches but the display doesn't reset to '0'

    Any ideas please?

Ok I am going to take a wild guess.....
    Mach 3 right?
Get the Mach 3 manual off there website and read section 4.6.5
    Page 4-10
Referencing in action ...sounds like your settings have changed
I would say more but it's hard to type this from my iPad

Oh and they have video tutorials too I believe!

    Cheers restless

Yes Mach 3. I have the manual open and yes on 4.5.4. I will study that later.

I was just puzzled why a clone of the system would produce a different result. Am I right in thinking it is because of a faster system and maybe slightly different voltages from the parallel port?

Cheers Gerry, they are already checked, it's my config file from another PC. I don't know why identical cloned hard drives (same files) are behaving differently on different computers.

Going to do a fresh install of Mach 3 as it is a different computer. I forgot how sensitive the parallel port is and probably needs tuning.
