    Which wire Gage

    Hi guys
    Can you tell me which wire Gage I should use to wire the gecko g540. I bought the whole kit from human design so I am wondering if I can can use the same Gage for relays , switches, power supply etc.all your help is appreciated.

    Motors: 20 ga. Don't skimp here. Shielded wire is good.

    Relays and Switches: 22 ga, smaller would be okay. When we say "relay's" we mean the coil, not the contacts. Shielded wire is required

    Power Supply: I'd try to get 14, but probably 16 is what fits on the PS to Gecko. I really would like to see the contacts for the power beefed up on the Gecko. I run 14 ga stranded, and cut off some strands to get it into the connector. 3.5A x 4 motors is 14A. Not for long, but you need 14ga wire for 14 A. If you use 16, make it short.

    If one of your relay's is running the spindle at least 14 ga is needed on the contacts (assuming 10-12A motor). If your motor goes anywhere near 15A, you need 12 ga.
