Gecko 540, mach3 and limit switches.

    Hello.

I need some help to get my limit switches working...

I put the wires in the gecko (port 1-4) but i can`t get it work in the mach3.

What do i need to do with the ports and pin, active low..... and all that?

    Hi Vega

My understanding Normal set-up for limit switch
one wire goes to one of the Gecko's ports 1/2/3 or 4
the other wire from the switch goes to your power supply -VDC.

then in Mach3 you tell which axis the switch is for ie x/y or Z home or limit.
bepending how you have wired the switch set for active high or low

If you are unsure Mach3 can set it for you by selecting auto and trip the switch manually for Mach3 to see it, then Mach3 sets to Hi or Low as needed.

    hope this helps

I have just check it is page 63 of the Mach3Mill_Install_Config.pdf

    on the Input Signals Tab
If you select the Home or Limit - / + for the required switch

bottom right of that screen click the Automated Setup of Inputs
then follow the instructions and manually trip the switch when requested.

easy setup really unless you have wired the switch wrong
