Folk, this is my farewell thread.

Didn't know where to put this but I hope here os ok.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who I've known over the years- I could not begin to list your names, there are/ were so many.

I'll pop my head in now and again if that's ok, but I'm no longer machining. They got me.

This Forum stopped me going bonkers a few times when the chips were flying, late at night all alone and wondering what the hell am I doing this for. It was enjoyable for 40 odd years, but the last 7 have been hell.

I fought as long as I could. No-one could have fought more

Are you retiring? Going to work for someone else? Going into a completely different job? If you haven't been in the business so long that you now hate it, set up a basement shop and do it as a hobby. Business can take all the fun out of stuff.

Whatever you do though, don't disappear from here just because your business status has changed.

Sorry to hear that you are calling it quits, it's one this to call it enough, another to be forced too.

It's very difficult for the little guy now, as I well know being self employed for 45 years.

As Matt mentioned, no reason to stop frequenting the CNCzone.
