nema 17 and a3982,what lead screw and voltage

    hi
i have a weird nema 17 motors and i live outside india so i cant get any fancy motors you use.
    12v
    0.3 amp per phase
    40 ohms per phase
    28mH
    3100 g-cm
    6 leads

    And i am using a3982
    i am using a pc power supply.12v

So from what i have read that 40 ohms is too high
on my poorly (have friction and lead screw whip "wobble issues)built mantis cnc with 15 tpi i cant get more than 15mm/min

I am buildin a new cnc based on zen toolworks and my own chages to ensure least friction. what should i do with motors?
    give more voltage or not.

And also i cant decide the pitch of lead screw and material for bearing. I am using direct or helical coupling,as i have access to lathe.

    Please help
    thanks

those motors and the fact your using 12 volts you wont have any top speed so i suggest
a lead screw with more pitch,i would use 1/2-10 acme single start rolled lead screws, very cheap and you have a lathe so you can turn the ends down and make your own,as far as the nuts go you can find cheap ones on ebay, $5 dollars each and they mount real easy

so with better motor i can run it on 12 v. And the resistance is problem right ?

I am trying to replicate zen. i cant believe with 20tpi that machine can run on 300mm/min. Is it there motors or mechanical.
