    Talking what computer for IH cnc

    Hey guys, my father-in-law builds custom computers, and he was asking what I needed for my cnc......and I have no idea......any ideas like speed, memory, and all the other computer talk so I can tell him what to build.......thanks again

    Any PC with a parallel port will work.

    It is best to use a CPU over 1Ghz but that is easy and cheep.

    I have a IH mill with servos and a 1.8GHz CPU and all is fine. If you want to do something special make the cooling have a dust filter. Dust and metal is my main concern right now with my PC only 5' from the mill.

    What program do you run on your IH and servos ect. I wanna cnc this so gettin ideas now ya know..

    I'm running Mach3 and the servos are Electrocraft which are a rare find. I can help with all the details just PM me.

    I believe the MACH user manual gives you the full spec requirement for the computer.
