    shop air

i just picked up a new ingersoll rand air compressor (i had one but made a deal with a buddy as it was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY more air than i needed so, i sold my 10hp 120 IR in favor of a smaller one...)

my question is this... i need to add a water seperator to my setup and i need to know what kind/size etc... (im on a budget) but also, should i put one right out of the compressor and or one right before the inlet air at the mill???

oh, i have a vf-3 and the other random assortment of cool tools in the shop

I used copper pipe and have about 20' of it between the air/water separator. this lets the air cool down and condenses the water out of the air into liquid and into a drain valve i can open and dump randomly. Also keeps the air/water separator working better, and doesn't fill up as much. Lowes actually sells a decent separator for under $45 dollars with 1/2" fittings. (sears sells a decent one as well, im using 2)
