    Innacurate cuts! Please help!

    Hello (please don't move thread)

I just finished building a 4 axis foam cutter. It is a belt driven machine with two x and y axis's with a wire in between them. When I cut out 4 boards out of a block of foam I am getting a strange pattern. one half of the pattern appears to be slightly off. Attached is an exagerated pic of the cut pattern and one half of the machine.

The cut is going from left to right and cutting out the center first and then returning on the outside. The pattern also appears the same on both sides of the foam block. This leads me to believe it is an issue with both sides of the machine.

The only things I can think of is the y tower out of allignment or unlevel. Or the belt that drives the y axis is at an angle from the pulley to the y carriage.

If anyone can offer any insight that would be great.
