    Can i combine steppers?

    Hi.

I have made a router, and upon testing the steper for one of the axes was to weak... Is ther an amplifier or somthing i can use? I plan to use a larger stepper, but i don't think the programmer card supports a larger stepper.. Is there somthing i can use for this problem?

It's possible your power supply isn't providing enough power to your stepper motors. Can you provide any specifications on what you are using?

I have never heard of a stepper 'amplifier'. Either a larger stepper motor or larger power supply would be the solution I believe.

Here is a link that shows how to 'slave' a second stepper motor off the same axis. http://www.doughtydrive.com/files/circuit.png

    Good luck
