    Generate Toolpath Over Solid

    Hi all,

I need to know how to remove solid body from geometry given in the attachment. I want to remove it because I need to generate toolpath.

Please see attachment for further detail.

Hope to hear from you guys soon.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kindest regards

There is no solid.... It's a 3D surface file.....

    cut away at it...
It's just a part..... cutter still goes round and round....

    psychomill,

Thanks for your quick reply pal.

But I still cannot generate toolpath around it. Do you mean I need to delete the 3D surface?

Are there any tutorial video out there?

    Btw..thanks once again.

    Kindest regards,

    Create/Curve/all edges.

If you start a new level and create the wireframe on the new level you can just blank the surface level once the wireframe has been created.

As a habit, I usually Edit/simplify and then delete all duplicates after creating surface curves.

What neurosis stated will give you a wireframe to program. If only have surfaces, you can only use surface toolpaths and have solids selection turned off....

Do as mentioned above and I would create on a different level. I don't like to delete geometry like that because I may need to go back to it later....
