    Tips on drawing Ratchet/Pawl?

    Hi,

Messed with this a couple times with no luck, I'm curious how I should go about drawing a ratchet "sprocket". Is there some type of radial array tool Or similar I can be using to accomplish this?

Just looking to make a 2 to 3" O.D sprocket with angled/swept teeth to catch a pawl.

    Thansk for any help,

Use "Utilities - Rotate". Turn on the "Copy" function for the number of copies you need, define what number of degrees between each set of your copies (360/# of copies) - around the Z axis if it is drawn on the XY plane.

So, if making a 5 position sprocket with the geometry spun around the origin, choose the geometry you want to copy radially (with Right-Click OK), choose "Copy" and enter 5 parts, enter the origin as 0,0,0, enter 72 degrees around the Z axis (0 degrees around the X and Y axes, click OK.
