I have been looking at VFDs and am somewhat undecided.
My machine will be using Mach 3 to control the spindle.
The spindle motor is : 2.2 kw, 240 volt, 8.5 Amps.
The ones found on Ebay are almost all from China. ( The others maybe ,too, and they just don't advertise it???)
Here is the best prices I have found on *Name brand* VFD's:
Teco Westinghouse Drives, Power Components, Teco FM50 Phase Converter, Teco Inverter
The (2) that caught my interest are :
3HP 230 Volt -- USE AS A PHASE CONVERTER PLUS GET VARIABLE SPEED, Model FM50-203-C, Single Or Three Phase Input-Three Phase Output, variable frequency drive, variable frequency drives, ac drive, vfd, afd, frequency drive, drive, inverter, adjustable
And :
3HP 230 Volt -- USE AS A PHASE CONVERTER PLUS GET VARIABLE SPEED, Model JNEV-203-H1, Single Phase Input ONLY, Three Phase Output, variable frequency drive, variable frequency drives, ac drive, vfd, afd, frequency drive, drive, inverter, adjustable sp
Would these be ok, is the difference between the two something needed over the less expensive one? Would a larger 5HP be better ?
Is there another on the main page that would suit my application better?
Teco Westinghouse Drives, Power Components, Teco FM50 Phase Converter, Teco Inverter
These brands are just names that I am familiar with. They may not be a good selection for a VFD. If so please advise me of this also.
Thanks in advance,
