I asked in another thread but I thought I should post a new thread.

Has anyone noticed that Kool Mist 77 used as flood coolant seems to swell rubber and eat or make plastic very brittle?

Mostly, the problem is with my Honeywell Limit Switches. I barely snug the top covers and if I do not run coolant I don't have a problem. As soon as I start using flood coolant, in 2 weeks the top cover is brittle and cracking and the rubber seals are all swollen. Even the plastic in the switch that got coolant on them just falls apart.

My Z Axis timing belt got some coolant on it and it's sticky like the rubber is melting or became unstable.

I mix rich at 8oz KM77 to 1 gal Distilled Water to prevent rust. 4 oz wasn't cutting it for me.

I'd simply change limit switches or make some Aluminum ones, but I wonder if staying with KM77 will have other ill effects on my SX3 and RF45.

Scary....
