    EZ track drive error

Started by getting Y axis error. Found the motor bad got another motor
and fixed Y axis, but then got a X axis DAC Underflow error. Found a
red light on the Advanced Motion X drive, so I put it in Y and got the
same error, moved it to Z thinking we could run the machine in 2 axis
This time a green light was on all three drives. It let us home the machine,
but as soon as we homed it the Z drive light went to red and stops right
there. Do we have a bad drive or is something else going on? X and Y are
running OK and we can run 2 axis.

The fault is following the drive to where ever it is placed. Sounds like a bad drive to me.
Did the Z home for you? Maybe you could reload the machine with 2 axis software.

Z will home out then the red light faults out on the Advanced Motion drive.
X and Y come up with the red light and won't home. Why will it let Z home out
    then fault?

Is it possible that the Z appears to be homing? It comes up but stops not because of the switch but because it is faulting. Are you getting a DAC overflow? Drives OFF? After the Z homes? Try moving the z down and starting the home process and press the switch and hold it with a screw driver or pencil (not your finger). I want to know if it stops and thinks it is home and allows the other 2 axis to home. If you know how to attach a full size keyboard, go to DOS, and to PFM,exe. You can home it there, watch the following error, and read the alarm codes.
