    VF3 Monitor Fading Out

2002 VF3 with an amber monitor starting to get where I can't read it. Is there a constrast button or setting so I can get a little more life out of this thing until I have to replace it. And then, what are the options? I found some green and amber screens on ebay. I opened the controller and the wiring is simple. A power cord and a DB 9 connector.

    Monitor fading

There is an intensity adjustment for the CRT. Depending on the model, it might be on the side and accessible thru a small hole or it might be on the back. You might need to take the cover off. If the CRT is beyond adjustment, it might still need replacement.

Thanks for the tip. It worked!!!! I can read the screen a lot better. That will at least put off another purchase for a while. There was a hole on the side, but it didn't lead to the pot. After looking around a little I found it on the pc board. You are indeed the Wizard Of H
