    Problem after moving head manually

    NEED HELP URGENTLY

I am working with a chinese laserengraver.
To clean the lense and mirror I moved the engravinghead by hand (machine was disconnected from main), cleaned the lense and mirror. Then I connected the machine and immediately ther was a loud trembling sound and the head did not move. On screen (Newlydraw) a got the message
    EnG3Bin V8
Logic port 1: send data error !

Can anybody tell me how to solve this ?

    There are several possible causes.

You may have moved the axis past the home sensor, turn off the system and move it gently back to the active area and allow the machine to re-home.

A belt may have slipped off the idler or motor drive pulley, and become jammed. If you can slowly move the axis and feel the motor resistance it is probably ok.

The wiring to the motor may have come loose, re-check everything is connected.

Moving the axis manually causes the motors to work in reverse as generators, this can damage the driver IC's. If the axis just 'trembles' like it is stuck but physically it isn't, then this is most likely what has happened. When one of the coil drivers is blown it can't step properly and may jump erratically and then seem to work but is in fact skipping over the dead coil.

Hope it's one of the easy fixes...
    Zax.
