have worked with a lot of Fanuc stuff, pretty new to Okuma...we got a gutted machine in, pieced it all back together, have original backup disk set.
at bootup with the reload switch on, get the following:
****************************
SPB 5-A V3.02A (ENG)
MEM TEST : 0000
1-1 CPU-ALARM BUS ERROR (SYSTEM BUS)
BUS ERROR STATUS (SBER,SBPAR,CY0,0,PRT,DIA,LOP,ECC)=80
SSW=105 ACCESS ADDRESS=DE0000A0
D0=00000000 D1=504E2000 D2=454E4700
(many more of these lines...)
SBP MONITOR

any suggestions? Im assuming the new memory card needs cleared before reloading, but I know zilch about these controls. the VAC II spindle amp has a 16(power supply) alarm- could this bus error be due to fiberoptic communication down? spindle drive is in unknown condition- supposedly refurb, but who knows...
if it was a fanuc, we'd just do the 7-9 all clear and reload it- hoping theres a similar step for Okma I'm missing...
I have a call in to their telephone service, but as long as I was on hold, not counting on a fast response
thanks- Tim
