2.2kw water cooled ground connection missing

Hooking up my spindle and after making my motor cable determined that the ground pin (pin 4) is not connected.
I am disappointed it is not connected. To my mind is a huge safety issue!
My cable is finished on motor end and don't really want to re do it. Managed to get everything crammed in and buttoned up. Use Igus CF35 VFD cable. 1.5mm2 which is larger than needed but was available.
My question is has anyone taken the spindle apart and fixed the problem properly by adding the missing wire?
Taking apart the connector and bringing the wire external is a big hack. The pin is there for a reason IMHO.
    Thanks

After a little looking around on the zone I found a picture showing a spindle apart. The end of the housing with the connector comes apart with 4 SHCS. The water fitting are sealed with O rings so it comes apart easy.

I added a 6-32 taped hole in the endcap.
Added a wire with a ring terminal.

    Done.

    One less thing to do.

A bit of an oversight IMO, to say the least?
I guessing it is R.O.C. origin? :tired:

    All,
    Don't know origin for sure.
    Purchased through Keling.
Seem to me its needed. But then again I am picky. The product I design pass CSA or UL testing. ;-)

The thing powers and and runs nicely. So I should not complain too much.
Now I have to sort out cooling on it. :-)

    Thanks for comments.

Thanks for posting images of this. I was testing with the multimeter and I don't think mine is connected either. I also purchased a 2.2kw water cooled spindle from Keling.

I think Keling should be doing this before reselling. It would be the patriotic thing to do .

To say nothing of a safety and cause of noise issue. (chair)
