    Serial communication

    Hi all!
I´ve just bought a Moxa uport 1110 (usb to serial adapter) for communication with an old machine with a Fanuc 11M control. When I go to "port settings" from device manager I don´t have the "advanced" button under which I can disable "FIFO buffering", which I always have been told to do to prevent communication interference. The adapter is connected to a new laptop with Windows 7 64bit. I´ll appreciate any input...

On the 1200 series the setting is in the multi-port properties rather than the com port properties. See the attached images. Maybe the 1100 is similar?

I will take a look if I have that menu in my computer when I´m back at work. Thank you!
