    What machine description to use?

    Hi another newbi

    What machine description do I use for a home made cnc router.

    I am, using Mach3. its 4 axis with two steppers on the X.

    the default fanuc will work for you. i run mach3 with a slightly modified fanuc post.

    Actually "my bad" (sorry, hate that phrase). I thought you were speaking of a different concept, I didn't catch that you were asking about a machine definition.

    Hey when did you build a CNC? is this at the office or your garage?

    garage. got a few different designs now. mach3 handles up to 6 axis machines.
