I built a large CNC, the motor controllers are G203V at 80 volt. The BOB is C11G rev 8.3. The motors are 1200 oz.

I had all 3 axis working, the movement (inches per inch) was not yet correct but they were working correctly (left/right, up/down). I decided to reroute a cable to a safer location, after doing so the motors worked about 4 times then a single strand of wire I had not noticed shorted to the frame and the motor with the short when I press the arrow keys (left or right) always rotates CW. The other two motors do not move.

Have I shorted out my Geckos or have I shorted out the BOB. Is there a less expensive way to fix this?

You can send the drives back to Gecko, and they'll test them and fix them for free if they are damaged.
