    Torchmate CAD alternative

    Hey Yaw
does anyone have an alternative to the Torchmate CAD software. I do all of my art in Illustrator and export as an .eps. I have always had issues when trying to export large projects out of Torchmate CAD. This software is very unstable and shuts down while exporting .dxf files often. since i dont need this as an art creation software, something super cheap and limited to exporting .dxf files would be perfect.
    thanks
    Shawn

Take a look a Draftsight from Solidworks its FREE, imports DXF, DWG. Exports DXF, DWG, EPS BMP, etc, etc.
    Download DraftSight - Dassault Systèmes[swfreetools]-[middle]-[intext]-[www.solidworks.com]

It's interesting that Torchmate CAD is crashing for you while exporting .dxf files.
I have never had this issue myself while exporting .dxf's with Torchmate CAD.
The only time this program has crashed on me is when I went to "save" something and didn't have my security key fob in the pc.

I have the same problem. My program almost always crashes when I hit "nest".

I do all my work in Corel, Illustrator or now solidworks. Is there any software that will let me do lead-in and offsets easy? That's one thing I like about TM software.

Maybe Sheetcam will give you what you want.
