3D Guitar Tutorial - Body flipover

    Y'all,
I finally got around to making a little tutorial video about how I flip my guitar bodies over, so that I can machine both sides.

Let me know if you have any questions - or ideas on ways to improve the process!

Thanks for the video Johnny501. Been watching for it. Very interesting to watch. The pre-shaped butcher block style laminations should really cut down the roughing operation times.

What CAM software do you use that can understand the odd shape of the rough block? Most Im aware of just assume a rectangular block and so do a huge amount of air cutting.

    I'm using VisualMill.
To minimize the air cutting, I break the roughing-procedure into 3 different zones, and set the Z starting height accordingly for each of the 3 zones. There's still a little air cutting, but nowhere near as much as if I just used a single zone.

    Hope this helps.
