    Help with a transformer question

Just got an HiT 18S and have a question. It was wired for 480 and what I have available is 220. Doesn't seem to be a problem except that the book says the Siemens spindle drive requires 400v. Does this mean I have to get a step up transformer just for the spindle drive? Everything else seems to be fine with 220.

    Thanks

PS. it had a step down transformer from 480 to 400/220/110v

If the voltage configuration for the 480/220 is in the machine enclosure, then this is most likely taken care of inside the machine.
You would only have a problem if the machine was declared 480 supply only.
