    Tormach tooling SX3/MT3

I just received some Tormach tooling today from LMS. I decided up on TTS for my mill after a lot of good feedback around here and a few other forums. But there seems to be some issues with the 3mt collett. After what i believed it was supposed to drop easily with just a few rotations on the drawbar. Mine is as stuck as other 3mt tooling. I have to whack it out with a rubber hammer to release it. That is bad news for ATC and easy tool changes.

Is there anyone else that have had similar issues? How does your TTS tooling behaves?

    Cheers

Pick up a tube of anti-seize from the hardware store and it will help keep the collet from sticking. The ATC's and power drwawbars don't have any issue with this since they use spring washers and push down on the drawbar to release the collet like you are doing with your hammer. You could just smack it with your wrench and it would be enough to release it but you should also use some anti-seize.

Their 8" rotary table has an MT3 taper allowing you to use TTS for work holding.
