    Cad/Cam Opinions

I currently have Alibre Cad and really like it.

I am looking for a good Cam package.....it seems like alibre cam is the only one that integrates directly into alibre cad.

If someone is on a budget, what cam programs do you like. Or, what integrated Cad/cam do you like? I am not into alibre for much as I only have the personal addition, and would be willing to switch.

If someone has no budget, what is the best cad/cam out there?

Also, I am going to be doing mainly 3 axis milling....maybe some 4th axis down the road, and I would like the ability to do lathe also, so I don't have to learn something totally new in the future if I decide to go that route.

    Thanks in advance....
    Steve

I would definitely take a look at Dolphin CAD/CAM. I am pretty sure with their next release V11, they will be doing some sort of Alibre integration. Ive been using the CAM of Dolphin for quite a while and it's done wonders for my small shop.
