oh, yes, I agree people should move this out of this thread. but defeng is indeed back communicating, just hasn't posted here yet.

Hi all, I guess I'm guilty of holding up the show with all the modifications I requested..........apologies all round.
I would like to say that the fact that the modifications were able to be made definitely made me want to buy the mill.....there's no other mill that has the specs I requested.
Going from the ER32 basic mill spindle to the ISO 20 spindle put it streets ahead in the must have dept, then going to the major mod to enable the high speed spindle to be a change over action really put the icing on the cake.
That's why I'm waiting with bated breath to get the news of the delivery date, but the wait will be worth it for that package.
Ian.
I now got an Mail from dfeng so it seems he recovered from Health issues but hasnt posted here. I Personally think that People got frustrated because of no Communication so i did understand why they try to help Each Other lets See how it is develloping ,..

Any updates from Defeng this week since april1st ?
Hi guys,
Firstly I'm very sorry for long time without any updates here because of my personal healthy problems in last days. That may caused many communication problems here that I must apologize to all of you guys.
I'm getting better and come back to works now and expecting to finish the current machine orders asap.
Here are the recent updated pictures of nearly finished machines:

Defeng,
Glad to hear your situation is improving!
Hi, I think the air pressure went down a bit when everyone on here started breathing again....LOL........good to see you're getting better Defeng.
Ian.
Has anyone had any form of communication from Defeng?
I have emailed him on a number of occasions, and he has not bothered with a reply in almost 1 month.
Im now also over the 6 month mark of waiting for my machine!!
www. skyfirecnc.com is gone...
The website is working, just checked right now, I had a question tho, on that website is a VDF that supports SVD for high torque at low speeds, does anyone have more information on this, I would like to order one if that is possible for my 2.2kW spindle.

it means the drive is a vector drive. normal drives cant run the motor well at low speed. for example, you may not be able to run your 2.2kw water cooled spindle below 6000rpm.
vector drives have a feedback system (not a sensor) that lets you use speeds near 0rpm to max speed with full torque. most industrial level machines use a vector drive these days and the tech is trickling down to the hobby level.
I see the web site is back up. That's great.
I was looking at the web site and see the ER32 spindle. That looks very tempting. 10-12k RPM bearings would be a nice option. I also looked back through this thread and saw the R8 spindle. Also very interesting! Thanks Defeng for all your hard work.
