still having trouble I'm not sure I got the clearance plane right . when I post and lok over the code the values do not work out to what I want . It's a simple 2 - .25" deep pockets , 1 with 2 islands inside .When I put it in the mill and run tool 2 I get tool 1's dia. in blue is what I find odd Hear's what I have :

the 0 behind the H should be the tool # . now BIG ? is how do I get VM to post it right ? or do I just keep editing ?

if you look in the MecSoft folder - mine is in "My Computer-C-Program Files-MecSoft Corporation-VisualMill" open the VM Post Generator and select your post - you can make any changes to the post that you need.
Be sure to save your original post in a safe place... just in case you make a mistake and hit save at the wrong time.

thanks Mac I'll look into that sometime right now I'll just edit that line . I'm still having an issue with my Z depth I'm .1" too shallow driving me crazy , can't figure what I'm messing up on . any thoughts other then take a class ( I may do sooner then later now ) .

I have a Milltronics post that I have been using for about two years. It took me a while to get it exactly like I wanted. I don't know if you use cutter comp, but Visual Mill creates the toolpath offset from the line that it is cutting. That creates a problem with the Milltronics, because it uses full cutter diameter compensation. Anyway, I found a way around it by adding a mathmatical formula to the post that adjusts the control to work with Visual Mill cutter comp. PM me if you want a copy, I will gladly send it.
