Does anyone know where to purchase these>>

I've been looking everywhere for these and cant find them, plus I'm not sure what the exact name is. I like to use them between the jig and part I'm machining. They give a perfect alignment and take some side pressure off the bolts. These fit a 1/4' hole and use a 10-32 screw; I would like to find some larger ones. Anyone know where I can get them?

    Luke,
If the split is not necessary they resemble electrical butt connectors, they come in many sizes.

I need the split; they are larger than the hole they fit in. They squeeze down for a tight fit.

I bought some for a project at ACE hardware. Not sure if they are the same size though.

My local ACE HW has never seen them before. I don’t necessarily need the size shown, I'm looking for a vender so I can purchase them in various sizes. I've done hours worth of online searches and cant find them. But I really don’t know the actual name. (I can purchase this size through a paintball company) I just can imagine it is a proprietary part, I was hope to find them in larger sizes..

    Spring pins

What you have looks like a commom Spring Pin ( Roll Pins, Split Pins) etc. They are available in lots of diamenters and various lengths at fastener and hardware suppliers, Ebay, etc..

I cant seem to find any that are this thin walled, they are 0.020”. The ones from McMaster-Carr are close but they are a little different. I went ahead and ordered some for ¼’ bolts to give a try. But I would like to find a vender for these exact ones (material and size) shown in the first post.

Lathe + material + drill + reamer/boring bar + a little time = bushings shown above. All you have to do then is slit them. Depending on the material of your choice you can use a band saw, grinder, etc. Just an idea. We do that all them time to accommodate different drills, reamers, taps, etc. in our Brown & Sharpe screw machines.

    Good luck,
    Mike

Making them is an option but I was hoping this would be a shelf item…

Unless you can trick them into giving you samples, you never be able to afford their minimums!!! They are manufactures and wholesalers. They make and sell them by the billions.

It wouldn't hurt to give them a call anyway. They should be able to give you the names of some retailers that they supply.
