I am new to fadal. I have a '94 4020ht with the 88hs control. My question is, do you have to name your tools from 1-20? I work from a 100 tool list in my cam software and other machines and I would like to use the same list. The control lists 99 places for offsets, but I can't figure out how to number my tools over 20 in the tool changer. Thanks

There is no way to renumber the tools 1-21.

Not exactly sure what your question is, But one of the benefits I have found
with these machines is ability to set any tool pocket as tool 1 using
command "Setto"

My question was can you use a tool number other then 1-21. The answer apparently is no. On most machines you can assign a tool number to a pocket. In my situation, when using multiple machines, you can work from a universal tool list and swap tools between machines easily.

You can call upto 99 diffrent tool offsets, but as denmar stated, the tool numbers are assigned as 1 thru 21.
