newbie need help with v carve

    Hi All

Ive been here a while but only posting once or twice,

I have new machine arriving from Jinan Quick CNC( chinese unit) in the next day or two. so need some help. MAchine is a 3600x1200 flat bed cnc with syntec controller.

I am looking to use Vectric V carve pro however have the following questions, hopefully someone can help, been using demo mode to practice.

These a prob really basic questions so sorry in advance..

    1. When i create a toolpath and save how do i know what post processor
to select?? and once select how do i get the info from vectric software to the syntec controller

    2. When i create a object eg a box i will have 4 sides made from 6mm MDF and a bottom made from 16mm MDF. Can vectric do this? i seem to be only
about to draw some shape on 1 layer /material. Would like to some draw all together. It seem i need to draw all my 6mm peices first then make a new peice and do all my 16mm bits??

    Hopefully these questions make sense

    Thx
    Redvanth

    1) There should be Syntec posts for both inches or mm's. Choose the one for the units you work with. Not sure about transferring files, as I've never seen one of those machines. Perhaps a USB memory stick?

    2) Yes, draw the 6mm parts and 16mm parts separately
