    Cutting thin parts

Newbee- Cutting sm. parts from aprox. 12x16in. x 1/8in.thick, plastic and alum. plate. on an XMX2. Supporting 1/8in.plate stock with cornor screws, get lots of vibration because stock is not supported throughout. Vac. table is to costly for what I am doing. Need some way to temporaily stick the plate to pressed board mounted to the table. I was thinking of two sided contact paper or tape? Is there a better way? Thanks for your thoughts.

You can glue it to with PVA glue or shellac.
PVA glue will dissolve with water.
Shellac will dissolve with methylated spirits or alcohol.
Double sided tape, if it is strong enough.

Double sided tape has worked well for me, but it would start to add up in cost if you're cutting a lot of bits.

    You could try a right-hand cutting, left-hand helix end-mill.
Cuts the same way as normal, but helix will push the part down,
rather than pull up like a regular end mill would. Works best if part
is supported by a fixture plate.

    Good luck!
