2000 vf4. On start up the screen shows "E stop on" normally you would double reset and move on.
No go
I have had the Estop fail before, so I took the button apart and tied the two wires together. I have done this before while waiting for a button.
No go...?
Anybody run into this one. I love it when problems come up before a 4 day holiday

You never want to jumper the e-stop circuit; that is very dangerous.

Based on the age of the machine it has a counterbalance system for the z axis, which consist of a nitrogen tank with a pressure switch. This pressure switch is tied into the e-stop circuit, when the pressure falls below a certain threshold it will trip a non resettable e-stop until the nitrogen tank is filled to nominal pressure.

Check the gauge on your nitrogen tank, fill it up if necessary. The correct pressure is labeled on the sheet metal.

Thanks for the reply. Yea that is what it was, I topped it off a little bit ago and is humming away now.
As far as the jumper goes that is what the E stop button does..ground the two wires together.
I thought I was going to break my record of working through weekends..but safe once again..
