    Question Newb question

I am looking to build a cnc router from jgro's plans. I have some unique needs and am looking for suggestions. I build custome computer cases and would be using it to possibly cut windows in the cases and will deffinatly be using it to etch designs into plexiglass.

I feel fairly certain that i can follow/build the plans but i am unsure what motors to use stepper/servo. if i should make only a 3 axis or 4.

Any help that could be provided would be greatly appreciated.

I will be cutting some aluminum, and some mile steel like found on the side of a computer case and also etching plexiglass. beyond this im not sure what else it will be used for. I will also be using it to cut some woods ie balsa. possibably some light carving in cherry.
