Hello,

We have an older MV-40 Mori Seiki with Fanuc MF-M4. I have a job coming up that needs some thread milling done, but I cant get the machine to Helical Interpolate. I know on most Fanucs it's an option with the machine. I also do know it's just a parameter that needs to be turned on! So my question(s) are: Is there somebody out there that knows the Parameter to turn this on? Can this machine and/or controller even do a 3 axis cut!!

MFM4=Fanuc 0M

I've never seen one sold without helical, but i guess it was possible. It is an option parameter.

What code are you using to determine helical interpolation? Simultaneous 3 axis interpolation?

Hi everyone, I just picked up a Mori MV40b with the Fanuc MFM4 controller and I was told that it didn't have the rigid tapping option. Is there a way I can check if it has it and if it doesn't can I turn that feature on?
