Fadal macro variable for work offsets?

Does anyone have experience with setting up a macro variable in a Fadal 88 to use more than the 48 offsets that are in the control?

We have a multitude of products that we run through our machines and we seem to have run out of workstation offsets.

I could use a few more, its too bad these didnt come with a Fanuc control so we could have 200.

Have you considered using G10 with L2? Its a way to read, alter or write data to your fixture offsets. Another possibility would be to use a G52. The only trouble with either of these solutions is the data for your part coordinate system would be located within in the program. Hope this helps. I'm curious to see what other solutions people come up with.

Since he seems to be using dedicated tooling and not changing tool offsets with each job, I do not see any reason the tool length can't be in the program. I would put an operator note to edit the tool length if it were changed for any reason.

Coding the appropriate G10 code within the program would solve this issue quite easily.
