Ok, new problem.. Fanuc OM keeps blowing fuse, Power supply.

Fisrt time since new, 1988 RoboDrill with Fanuc OM control blew the little 5amp-24v fuse on the power supply. Did'nt think nothing about, changed it, fired right back up, and back to work. Then, this afternoon, lights out. Happened again.. Anybody with any advice? Time to send out the power supply for a rebuild?? I has been extremlely hot in the shop last couple weeks, and I noticed the fan above the PS is no longer working. Heat related, maybe??

Probably not the power supply, it could be the fan drawing too much current, but usually something shorts out blowing that fuse. That's the output fuse for the power supply.

Due to Excessive heat at Power supply the Current flow becomes abnormal , It is a common Condition for the Failure for Fuses , replace Fan and If possible please clean the power supply unit once or send the power supply in repair or replace the Power Supply.
