    Error checking in NCFadal

I get a ton of error messages when trying to DNC using NCFadal. I can't pin it down. Some files work fine, others error out.

If I un-check error checking at the CNC end. Things run fine.

    Any input would be appreciated.

Update: things don't work fine. I'm getting errors that stop the machine randomly. On the last test file, NCFadal quit mid file.

I'm scratching my head as to where to look first. NCFadal, VisualMill post?

When using the NC Fadal software for DNC, DO NOT check the error checking option as this is too sensitive and picks up minor clitches that mean nothing. Unless you have an absolute need for the error checking leave it off!!!!!

Thanks Neal. That makes a huge difference.

Still crapping out on arcs. Is there a trick or do I just need to post all arcs as line segments?

Do you feel for sure that it is an issue with code?
Usually, seems to be com issues for this kind of behavior.
Such as using Usb - serial devices.
I have never had 1 problem since I switched to a proper serial card.

I'm pretty sure we're using a serial card but I'll double check. Culd the problem be in the post? It's set for radius arcs.

It maybe that the CA/CAM system is not properly connecting the arcs. If the control see a mismatch over .0001 or .0002 it may reject it. If this is the case set your CAD to the lowest tolerance available. The resulting file will be larger but will not execute any slower.

Are you sure you are not having connectivity issues with the cable due to vibration during operation?

I won't rule it out but we were doing mostly aircuts or practice cuts on wood so about as little vibration as you can get.
