Need Help - 104 y servo error too large. Just installed a replacement power supply from Haas and am receiving this error. 104 y servo error too large. This is on a Haas mini mill 2005

Check if there is a red light on Y axis amplifier.
or you can disable Y axis to troubleshoot
Settin 7 to off > ENTER
lookfor
Prameter 15 >> scroll down with right arrow until DISABLED, change to 1(Press ESTOP)
Y axis will dissapear from screen and you should be able to power on with No alarms
if so, then suspect of amplifier

Also check 12 VDC power applied to servo-amps
comes from LVPS (Yellow, WHite and Black wires)
Yellow +, White -, black common

There are many things that can cause a Y-axis servo error. Disabling the axis is a good start to pinpointing the issue. You could also call the Service department at Haas Automation for trouble shooting advice at 805-278-8500.

If this is something new after the power supply replacement, then double check all cables and make sure the low volt power supply cable to the y drive is plugged in and making good connection.

Back up and running. Y axis motor replaced, Y axis driver replaced and replaced power supply. $3500.00 in parts. Thanks for all the help. This is the first major problems I have had with this machine. Bought new in 04 Haas mini mill
