Its all in jest Oven. I talked to a Chinese student here and she said its common to choose an English spelling of your name which sounds most like your own. For her, it is Joan. I understand that "Oven" (the sound, not the spelling) is a common Chinese name. It just so happens that the English word that sounds like your name is also a common kitchen appliance.
