    Laminating Birch

I hope you guys have some experience and can direct me correctly.
I have some 2" thick solid Birch planks. The problem they are only 5" wide.
I have a jointer that I was thinking of using to get a good edge and laminate them to make a piece wide enough to make a Tele body.
Questions, what glue should I use and should I be using dowels/biscuits to reinforce the joint(s)?
    Thanks for the help.
    Thank You.

Use regular yellow woodworking glue, and no dowels or biscuits. If the surfaces are flat, an edge glued joint is stronger than the wood itself.

    Exactly what Ger21 said...

I have always used Titebond, never used any dowels or biscuits, and never had a problem...

Do not over tighten the clamps, since you will squeeze all the glue out....just enough to get some squeeze out and to make the seam disappear (if you did a good job on the joiner, this will be the case....dry fit them, there should not be any gaps when help up to a light...)
