    need help with Solid works

I tried to import a cad file but during the analysis solid works shut down because the memory was used up. How much memory do you need in a computer to do 3d work. I have 3G of memory Do I need more

Perhaps if you asked this question in the appropriate forum, the one entitled "Solidworks" down in the CAD subforums, you might actually get an answer.

This forum is entitled "Want To Buy...Need Help!" Doesn't actually cover your problem, does it?

Try this section of the forum for your Solidworks questions, you'll probably get a faster response: Solidworks - CNCzone.com-The Largest Machinist Community on the net! .

    Good luck.

You can actually go to solidworks website and they tell you all you need to run Solidworks, Now Not always works what they said. solidwoks as other programs can crash at any time.you might be using an old rev. try to update the most current one.
