    multi start thread

    i supplied a multi start thread for a customer that really fell in love with the idea. he now would like me to make a 1/2 dia. shaft that will move 1 inch per revolution. has anyone had experiance with something like this?or does anyone have any ideas.maybe 1/2-4 with 4 starts ?will a 60 degree insert still be ok ? i'm open to sugestions

    Thats a real coarse thread! Go slow RPM, you dont want to exceed the feedrate limitations of the machine.
