I've had a problem today where i cannot access any of my tools, nor compute a tool path. I keep getting the error message: "File - Milling0009.dll - Not found" Next message after that is "An invalid argument was encountered" I get this message when trying to create a tool, compute a tool path, change tool settings, anything.

If i open up previously successful files with tool paths in them, i get the same error message repeatedly until bobcad crashes.

I'm waiting on a response from bobcad themselves, but have not got one yet. One odd thing i noticed was that predator has backplotting enabled as of friday afternoon, never had that feature before. We bought it last week, i never installed anything on my computer friday, so i'm wondering if something was enabled via the licence causing a glitch? Anybody have a similar issue? My lathe tools still are accessible, just not milling tools. However, if i open a lathe part i made in the past, i get the same error message.

Milling0009.dll error - This means a corrupted machine or tool file.

You will need to delete some files and allow bobcad to re-create them.

Do this -

Navigate to C:\BobCAD-CAM DATA \BobCADCAM V#\

Open the milling technology folder.

Delete the contents of the sub folders here . (Leave the folder structure in place)

Navigate to your post-processor directory .Commonly - C:\BobCAD-CAM Data\BobCAD-CAM V24\Posts\Mill

Delete the MillingMachineSetup.bin file.


Then open the software , it should work.
BobCAD will re-create these files when they are no longer present.



MORE SIMPLE FIX....


Uninstall
Delete folder- C:\BobCAD-CAM Data
Re-install

Either way will work.
