When I put the machine on it starts OK, but after (between 1 to 5 minuets) I am
locked out on the program and soft key buttons. On the occasions that I have
time to start a program the machine runs OK and you can press the start button
and it will go through the cycle as many times as you want.

While the keys are locked, the left hand screen looses some of the characters
sometimes some at random, and sometimes the whole screen.

If I turn off and reboot all comes back to normal then the fault starts over again.

Tried exchanging power supply and graphics card with no success.

I am getting desperate, is there anyone that can help, please. please. please.

It sounds like you need to change the CRT controller card up in the console.
