    Chick Bi Lok Instructions

Hmm, not sure where else to put this one, so here goes. I had a Chick Bi-Lok BLS4 given to me. The jaws are not moving in sync, and the front movable jaw only moves an inch altogether.

Anyone have instructions or a picture showing the guts of this.....

    Thanks

If it's like mine it has two large aluminum jaws and a solid aluminum center block. If so you can knock out the pins on the moving jaws and remove them. The middle block is removed by taking out the two screws. These are not designed to hold pieces like a normal vise. They have a very short stroke. There for holding irregular shaped pieces. You mill the shape your holding into the jaws and that allows you to hold oddball pieces. Clamp a thin piece tight in the jaws before milling your shape. This gives you clearance to tighten onto the part. They sell jaws so you can buy more. These are to be milled for a specific job and then changed out for the next job.
