Shars R8 solid tool holders, are they any good?

    Hello all!
I have a questions for you. I would like to get some R8 solid end mill holders. I have looked at them on the Shars web site. The price is great, but they don't specify what the bore and runout tolerance is. I emailed Shars to ask about this, but go no response.

So, has anyone tried them? If so, what did you think of them?

    Thanks!
    Mike

I see the TIR on the collet description but not on the end mill adaptors.

I thought it was just me who couldn't see it. They have a spec on the collets not the adaptors.

Well, I called Shars and they said they don't have a spec, and they are "shop" grade.
I hate gambling. So I guess I'll just stay with collets for now. Unless someone who already has them will speak up.
    Thanks guys,
    Mike
