Hi
Could someone share experience with cutting thick sheet metal (2") at
right angle with waterjet machine? It seems the right angle viewed
from the top is different from viewed from bottom.

Webcruiser8,
I think what you are refuring to is the tapper in the sides of the part when it comes to an outside corner it will normaly cut a sharp corner on the top side and fan out at the bottom leaving an slight radi at the bottom. this can be adjusted for to some degree with the travel speed at the corner or some programs continue past the corner in a straight line and back up to the corner then follow the pathprogramed. However there are some new machines that deal with it with tilting the cutting head buy means of 4 and 5 axis machines.
the problem gets even worse in thicker stocks.
hope this helps

Like Verfur said, go past the corner back up at an angle till your level with the second side and get in again. Kind of like a figure foyr ( 4 <- think of this as the top left courner)
