    Fanuc OM-C RS232 Dilemma

    Hi All,
I have an RS232 software program on my laptop that I have to use but it's locked in at 8-databits, No-parity, 1-stopbit, 9600 baud
What parameters and values do I set in the Fanuc OM control to communicate with my laptop?
Thanks for your time and any input

As far as I know you can't adjust all of the settings on 0-series, only baud rate and stop bits.
It's easier to get another transfer program. There are many out there and some are free.
Just set the software to your machine settings.

To know what your machine is set to....

Check the first SETTING page I/O bit
If the I/O bit is 0 then....

    Check parameter 002
If bit 0 (far right) is 1 then stop bits is set to 2 stop-bits
If bit 0 is 0 then stop bits is set to 1 stop-bit

    Then check parameter 552
If 9 then baud rate is set to 2400 baud
If 10 then baud rate is set to 4800 baud
If 11 then baud rate is set to 9600 baud

If the I/O bit is set to '1' check parameters 012 and 553 instead
of 002 and 552 for the baudrate and stop bit info
