Question Adjusting time on a Wooden Clock

    Hello all!

I'm in the midst of designing an electric clock and need some sort of clutching system for time adjustments.
There is no clutch on the motor.

There are no conventional 'hands' and the gears will be required to spin to adjust the time.

I could really use some input with this. Suggestions?

(sorry for the crude sketchup model, as I'm still learning!)

    Nothing?

I was thinking of two friction disks spring loaded...
I'll see what I can come up with...

That's what I did on my latest clock, although the disks have one-way gear surfaces.

    Thats great!
Unfortunately, I haven't got that much space to use...
I have to drive it off the motor itself.

I posted this question on another forum, and someone
mensioned a one-way bearing from RC use.
So I think thats what I'm going to try.

    Thank you for your input!
How do you make the ridges on the mating faces?
